Our team’s enthusiasm knew no bounds at HubSpot INBOUND '24. Fun and some thought-provoking discussions have made one thing clear: the wind of change is blowing rapidly toward the technology-led business future. 🚀
Even if you missed the event, don’t worry, like Adam Levine, we’ll sing - “Make me your radio, turn me up when you feel low”.😃 And that’s because you’ll have all the key takeaways at your fingertips with this blog. ✍️
Before Day 1 began, Partner Day offered actionable insights to drive high-performance revenue engines. Connecting and sharing ideas with founders, agency operators, marketers, and innovators has been an enriching experience. 🤝
Day 1:
Notable speakers: Yamini Ranjan (CEO), Andy Pitre (Executive VP of Product) and Dharmesh Shah (Founder and CTO), HubSpot
The first day was significant as the top HubSpot leaders discussed the problems that your business can relate to. And then how to enhance your problem-solving abilities, customer outreach, time efficiency, etc., by leveraging AI (discussed in detail in the next section).
Day 2:
Notable speakers: Andy Pitre, Francois Ajenstat, and Karen Ng (HubSpot Product team).
Product-led growth, leveraging data, and revenue generation were in the limelight.
After all, it’s the product that can help utilize your data to create delightful customer experiences.
And you must make sure there are no interdepartmental silos in your organization. When your business is united, you will make the most out of all customer touchpoints and stages in their journeys.
Day 3:
Notable speakers: Jon Dick (SVP) and Michelle Peluso (CCO).
The main agenda was, “Converting Detractors to Promoters.”
With all the transformation happening, do you know what hasn’t changed? Prioritizing your customers.
For this, you should deploy the predictive Net Promoter Score (NPS), which makes use of customer feedback, behavior, and other relevant metrics to help you convert your fans into promoters.
Yamini Ranjan (CEO, HubSpot)
She highlighted that it’s getting harder to attract, convert, and retain customers. And that’s because the traditional growth formula has been shattered.
✅ Only 50% of reps are hitting quota, compared to 66% just two years ago.
✅ The Win rate has declined from 23% to 19% in the last two years.
✅ Search, social, and customer channels have evolved.
Any guesses why?? 🤔
If you immediately thought of the AI revolution, you’re spot on.
With AI-based search, customers are now getting answers without leaving the search.
The same is the case with social media, as these platforms are holding onto your customers for much longer than before by creating “sticky” experiences.
And that’s why, your social posts with external links don’t get enough reach.
“Customers are now using AI for acceleration, and will soon use it for transformation.” - Yamini.
Andy Pitre (Executive Vice President of Product, HubSpot)
Dharmesh Shah (Founder and CTO at HubSpot)
After Andy, Dharmesh began by throwing light on AI agents. He opined that AI models are getting bigger, better, faster, and more capable. Today we have a wide array of models for a variety of tasks with multimodal support.
For instance, OpenAI launched GPT-01 very recently and its ability to reason and share a chain of thoughts linked to it is truly fascinating.
Then he went on to talk about the upcoming HubSpot product that is still in the experimental stage, i.e., agent.ai, which is the only professional network of AI agents.
You might wonder why it’s needed. The reason behind it is, that in the future, we will have hybrid teams in which humans will work with AI agents. 🤝
Whether you want to use it for company search to reduce the time you spend on looking for prospects, as an image generator, or as a meme maker, it has got all you need.
Furthermore, existing AI agents can be used as the building blocks for other agents as if they’re Lego pieces. The best part is, that you don’t have to be a programmer, all it takes is curiosity.
So, if you treat agents as tools, you will have plenty of tools. But if you think of them as teammates, you’ll be able to transform your business.
“We should not go where AI is, we should go where AI is going.” - Dharmesh.
INBOUND ‘24 was a great learning curve, an opportunity to network, share innovative ideas, and have a lot of fun.
It’s no secret that AI was the focal point. With AI-powered agents acting like team members, it’s incredible how powerful innovation can get with human-AI collaboration. 🤝
As you saw, HubSpot has rolled out several AI-based tools that are pivotal for your business strategy. Thus, adaptability is the need of the hour. However, this transition can get overwhelming at times with so much on your table.
